Upcycled organic cotton scrunchies
Our favorites are made from scraps from the linings of our bags. These block print linings highlight the Indian know-how of the women of our partner NGO. Block printing is an artisanal Indian printing technique carried out by hand. Hollowed out wooden blocks are impregnated with dye then laid onto the fabric in a warp fashion to form lovely traditional designs on our cotton fabric. Favorites that encourage women empowerment
At Hindbag, we are proud to promote women empowerment in India through committed production. Since the creation of the brand, we have collaborated with Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute (SSMI), an Indian NGO which works to emancipate women in an underprivileged neighborhood of Delhi. These women make our bags and favorites in exchange for a salary three times higher than the average Indian salary, training and a place at school for their children. The NGO is GOTS certified, which guarantees its commitment to optimal working conditions and energy consumption with a lower impact.
